A stage for children, parents, and teachers to sing a song, play an instrument, read original poetry, perform a monologue, play as an ensemble, etc. Each performer has five minutes each to share your talents and passions in front of a laid-back and supportive audience of families from schools throughout the greater-Ann Arbor area.
AN OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM—NOT A CONTEST
Open Mics are casual events for artists to share their talents in front of a friendly audience. As a performer, you sit in the crowd with other performers and guests until it is your turn, then take the stage and introduce yourself. It is a great opportunity to try something new or outside of your comfort zone because there are no expectations and many performances are rough around the edges.
